A series of photographs, documenting the labour that goes into a sausage roll.
These photographs were originally taken by photographer Harry Mitchell, originally as part of a news assignment for a national newspaper. However, most of the photographs from the factory floor were unpublished in the final feature, and therefore these photos have sat unseen - until now. They document the various workers and the labour they do to ensure these baked goods can be consumed by thousands of people each day - from the factory assembly line, to quality testing, to being served on the till. Each photo helps uncover another component of the labour that goes into making a sausage roll, steak bake or yum yum, that is otherwise hidden from those that consume the final product.
