An experimental game about call centres
Working the Phones: The Game is a short, interactive experience about working in a call centre. It is based on Jamie’s book Working the Phones: Control and Resistance in Call Centres. The book can be downloaded and read for free here and you can also read reviews here too.
While not meant to be “fun” in a conventional sense, it is an attempt to bring some of those experiences of working the phones to life. See how long you can last in a high-pressure sales call centre.
The game can be played in a browser here.
